Wonderful day of rejections

Valentines Day: aka Single awareness day; the day of fornication or depression, the biggest disappointment of the year if your partner is incompetent. The day you're forced to do something special for your bby but in all honesty, you did it either cus you were high and thought it was genius or cus you woulda fallen asleep in class if you hadn't. Or both. It's the day you try to express and rationalize the many emotions you have for someone in comprehensible English but it tragically falls into a warp of cliches and corny love poems you found on the internet. It adds the spontaneity to love while defeating the sole purpose being spontaneous: unexpected. Of course, spontaneity could be created when your beau decides that Valentines day is just any old Thursday and hangs with the guys. CUE: SPONTANEOUS REJECTION and a SPONTANEOUS PUNCH TO THE HEART. Now you just feel stupid for the thing that you worked hard on but never presented cus you were waiting for the right moment but then you learned that today wasn't meant to be special at all and you sit there wondering why no one else can make you happy like that person can when there are plenty of fish in the sea and you know this cus you've tested the waters and after or during the time you're with someone else, there's an empty void in you that yearns for that special person. And you try to make him jealous, found another valentine, tell you miss him, try to get his attention  and you keep waiting but everything just gets dismissed; you never get you're turn. And you wonder if you're always put second, third, or fourth.. why can't on this one day you be first. So you're sitting there basking in your fat and stupid and hurt. Perseverance is a stupid thing. Learn from your mistakes.

But fear not. It's not all grim. You found your favorite pen, the pen you chose to spend the rest of your life with, the pen that writes wonderful and draws effortlessly. The pen that has never let you down.
